Meltdown have just shared today an interview they put together with The Cure’s Robert Smith about his “Curætion” of the festival’s 25th edition.
The clip features various live footage from the festival, along with charming moments from Smith the “Curætor”, as he talks about hoping to give a leg up to newer bands such as Kælan Mikla, Tropic of Cancer, The KVB, The Soft Moon, and more.
Smith also remarks that he finds it hard to believe The Cure are as big as they are, and that playing songs from over 30 years ago is like a time machine that brings him back to those moments.
