Canadian band and rising stars, Actors have injected 80s dance floor intensity into their interpretation of Antipole’s “Decade Apart”, featuring Paris Alexander and Eirene. The original track was released on Antipole’s 2019 sophomore album Radial Glare (CD/LP Young & Cold Records).
Actors are one of the bands pushing music forward through a profound comprehension of the past. Their modern take on Post-Punk and Darkwave fused with 80s pop sensibilities mingle seamlessly to generate something that is both fresh and new. This comes through strongly in their latest remix for Norway’s finest Coldwave outfit Antipole.
Following on from the success of Perspectives, where artists including Ash Code, Agent Side Grinder, and Kill Shelter put their unique spin on Antipole tracks, Perspectives II builds on this concept. With a full release scheduled for Spring 2020, the second edition will include remixes by ACTORS, Syzygyx, Undertheskin, European Ghost, Crying Vessel and many more.
The video that accompanies the release creates a suitably nostalgic backdrop that reflects the feeling and sentiment of the remix:
