Watch a classic 1986 concert of Gene Loves Jezebel all dolled up at The Ritz in New York City

Back in 1986 when you could still shave your neck for maximum effect, the identical twin Aston brothers were still performing together as one single and fantastic incarnation of Gene Loves Jezebel.  Here donning an entire haberdashery, Michael and Jay Aston perform for a 50-minute MTV broadcast at The Ritz in New York City—promoting the band’s third studio album, Discover, which coincided with and included the release of the band’s two most well known singles “Desire”, and “Heartache”.

This my friends, is footage of a band of brothers at it’s absolute peak—before left divided and covered with bruises
