Video Premiere – DC Darlings S Y Z Y G Y X thrills with hyper hypnotic new Music Video “Ultra Doll”

Washington DC based synth project S Y Z Y G Y X is the dynamic duo of Josh Clark and Luna Black, a power-house pairing in which each play an equal role in mixing, mastering, lyric writing, and instruments. They are a true interconnected pair, a true syzygy. Today they announce the pre-order of their upcoming 15 track full-length album “Fading Bodies” and release the first single and music video off the album, Ultra Doll.

The duo have defined their sound since they burst onto the Darkwave scene in 2018 by pairing retro-synthetic style with dancefloor-ready coldwave. Categorized by heavy stabbing synths and an addicting bassline, S Y Z Y G Y X break up the darkness of the synths with high retro-inspired kicks and Luna’s slippery vocals. Ultra Doll is no exception, and delights with hectic light smears and gritty VHS flashes before finally settling on the shards of saddened faces making their way through an overwhelming city. The video captures the brilliance and hypnotic attraction of nightlife, and the lust of the city. Watch the new music video for Ultra Doll here:

As a result of Josh’s extensive background in electronic music and audio engineering and Luna’s love of experimental synths and her music composition background, the songs they write together stand out from a sea of darkwave/coldwave music that is currently flourishing. Their music is solidly grounded, well-mastered, and infectious for dancefloors while their sound consistently raises the bar with each new release in their discography. After this single, we are eager for the new album which releases on October 11th through Negative Gain Productions in the US and Cold Transmissions in Europe.
