Following the fantastic “Fact2019”, Zürich*s Dark Synth duo Veil of Light blasts off in their video for “So Hard”, another track from their fourth studio LP Inflict, which has shaped up to be a worthy successor to 2017’s Front Teeth.
“Blast Off” ignites with piercing liturgical vocals underlaid by bubbling EBM synths resembling something akin to Chapterhouse or Slowdive being remixed by Early Skinny Puppy ala “Far Too Frail”, and “Smothered Hope”.
The video, once again filmed and edited by Samuel Trümpy, features spliced together stock footage and black and white film clips, with the spinning Veil of Light logo overlaid in 3d with a red bordered background.
