Vancouver’s Girlfriends and Boyfriends Delivers Sax Solos and Abandoned Buildings in their Video for “Lost in the Noise”

Since 2009, Vancouver’s Girlfriends and Boyfriends have been forging a formidable footprint, fusing post-punk, electroclash, New Wave, and dance-punk into a distinctive, dedicated sound that echoes the anthems of vinyl and cassette eras.

Their latest gem, title track Lost In The Noise, stands as a sweeping saga of their musical evolution, brought to life under Midnight Mannequin Records. The song reverberates with the grandeur of ‘80s icons like The Alarm, Aztec Camera, and Big Country, boasting booming guitar riffs, synth splendor, a soulful sax solo, and a sizzling guitar outro that adds a touch of sophistication. Each track resonates like a soundtrack for an ‘80s epic, drenched in earnest emotion.

Directed by Wayne Moreheart, the striking video for Lost In The Noise explores escaping the confines of tunnel vision and obsessive routines. It follows a journey from the familiar to the unknown as our protagonist breaks free from the mundane and uncovers new vistas within and without. What lies beyond the predictable path? A new destiny beckons with possibilities.
