In response to overwhelming demand, U2 has unveiled additional live dates for their highly anticipated “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere” event. This series of concerts, originally scheduled for September 29th, 30th, and October 5th, 7th, and 8th, will now also include performances on October 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th, 21st, and 25th. Set in the groundbreaking MSG Sphere venue in Las Vegas, these shows celebrate the lasting impact of the band’s 1991 masterpiece. Bram van den Berg will temporarily replace U2 co-founder Larry Mullen Jr. on drums while Mullen Jr. recovers from surgery.
An immersive experience awaits attendees, as demonstrated by the band’s chief concert designer in the video below:
Ticketmaster’s communication to Verified Fan users confirms the addition of these new dates, with users automatically registered for a chance to secure tickets.
Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, April 26, featuring dual pre-sales for U2.com subscribers and Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system. U2.com subscribers can request tickets for up to three shows, but if their request is approved, they will be limited to purchasing a maximum of four tickets for a single performance. To minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value, GA floor seat resale will be restricted, drawing inspiration from The Cure’s recent anti-scalping efforts.
According to the U2.com member pre-sale details:
In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, GA floor tickets for U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere will be restricted from transfer. They may only be resold at the original purchase price. Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange.
