Yesterday, darkwave legends Clan of Xymox had to announce that their 13 date spring North American, which was set to begin in March, had to be postponed. This was due to record breaking partial government shutdown, that coincidentally finally ended shortly after singer Ronny Moorings took to social media to break the news to fans that because of Trump’s fight for a wall between the US and Mexico, the band’s visas were not processed in time.
This was to be the second set of dates that were part of Clan Of Xymox’s second full US Tour since 1999, which kicked off with last Halloween with appearance at the long running Goth event Dracula’s Ball in Philadelphia.
On Thursday, Clan of Xymox made a post on Facebook regarding the tour’s postponement.
“The main reason is that due to unforeseen circumstances related to the U.S. government shutdown, our work visas would not be able to be processed in time. We would simply not being allowed to enter the country to tour. We truly love and appreciate our American & Canadian fans and want to continue our shows over there. We are assured that all tickets purchased will be valid for November or you will get a refund if needed. We hope we will see you then. Yours truly!”
See the canceled dates below; new dates in November will be announced soon. We will be posting the new tour itinerary as soon as it’s announced.
