The Soft Moon is back with another haunting video from their fourth studio album Criminal, this time for anger infused “Like a Father”, whose intensity revs like chainsaw from an 80’s horror film.
The song, now juxtaposed against the grainy footage of violent imagery (religion included), results in an even more unsettling affect to the outward expression of Luis Vazquez’s inner experience.
Speaking about the track, The Softmoon’s Luis Vasquez explains:
“”Like a Father” is the result of a life long internalization in regards to the abandonment of my father.”
In addition to the two performances at the Robert Smith created 25th annual Meltdown Festival in London, The Soft Moon have also announced a second round of European tour dates running through summer and autumn.
