Ahead of a world tour, which includes dates with Hide, Nine Inch Nails, and The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Soft Moon has announced a pair of 12 inch remix EPs.
The tracks were originally featured on the Luis Vasquez helmed project’s fourth studio album Criminal, which was released earlier this year via Sacred Bones.
The EP’s, Criminal Remixed VOL. 1 and ‘Criminal Remixed VOL. 2, are co-released with Berlin-based record label, aufnahme + wiedergabe. Today we are premiering Imperial Black Unit mix of ”Like A Father”.
Berlin-based French duo Imperial Black Unit have transformed The Soft Moon’s “Like A Father“ into a pulsing dark EBM anthem, that evokes an a long journey along a lonely highway, with sinister voices deliberating like dark passengers awaiting the horrible scene that will inevitably transpire when the destination is reached.
Both 12”s EP’s are limited to 1000 copies. A digital version will be released as an full length album and will be available on Bandcamp and via all digital platforms. See Artwork, track listing, and tour dates below.
