The Soft Moon premiere their terrifying video for “Deeper” | Luis Vasquez and Co embark on their second leg of European tourdates

[dropcap]If[/dropcap] director Michael Haneke’s characters from “Funny Games” were re-imagined through the eyes of Eli Roth and displayed viaa found footage snuff film—we might have something similar to this unsettling video from The Soft Moon, premiering today as Luis Vasquez and Co embark on their second leg of European tourdates.

The video is for the title track for the band’s 3 studio album “Deeper”, and delves into the voyeuristic killing spree of what appears to be two university students who seemingly enjoy the psychological torture of their victims more so than the killing itself.

Director Kelsey Henderson on the making of the video:

“Inspired by Heaven’s Gate, Gabbers & Michael Haneke’s film Funny Games. I created a homemade snuff-like music video for The Soft Moon’s song Deeper, made by using a vhs camera & a Barbie Video Girl Doll. In dealing with bondage imagery I wanted to pull away from its sexual hackneyed state and instead explore such acts from another vantage point: torture as a fetish or for pleasure. And how it feels to be a voyeur of such acts”
