Last year via Morrissey fan-site True to you, it was announced that two previously unreleased alternate versions of The Smiths The Boy With the Thorn in His Side and Rubber Ring were scheduled to be released on a new 7” single with this cover art featuring Salford actor Albert Finney.
The single has finally had its release date announced for this year’s Record Store Day on April 22nd via Rhino. Specifially, the single features a new version of the sleeve (still featuring Albert Finney) and contains a demo mix of The Queen Is Dead track The Boy With the Thorn in His Side plus an “early Drones version” of Rubber Ring.
