“It howls, it’s grindingly beautiful, and it’s probably heading your way.”
Forty years of The Sisters of Mercy deserves a celebration: to honour this formidable milestone of the Leeds (not) goth rockers, the band have announced that they will play a three-night weekend residency at the historic Roundhouse in London on 11, 12, and 13 of September 2021.
London tickets will go on sale at MyTicket at 10 am GMT this Friday.
The European Tour, which had yet another pandemic postponement, according to the announcement, promises “new and hence unreleased songs…although the classics get a good thrashing in rotation. Having derived their light show from the Big Bang (gleefully inventing rave lighting in the process), the Sisters see no reason to tone it down, and will be exploding in all their usual glory at the next suitable opportunity.”
