The Psychedelic Furs Announce North American Tour this Autumn in Support of “Made of Rain”

The Psychedelic Furs have announced a North American Tour this autumn in support of “Made of Rain”—their first new studio album in nearly 30 years. Like many bands, their initial plans to hit the road in promotion of the album were scuttled due to the pandemic, but now the band finally getting ready to get their tour underway by announcing a 28-date U.S. tour itinerary that is scheduled from September through November.

The Furs’ U.S. tour begins with four dates in mid-September before the band goes over to England for seven shows there, including a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Then Richard Butler and Co. head back stateside for 24 more concerts, including gigs at the Apollo Theater in New York City and Tipitina’s in New Orleans.

Royston Langston, the lead singer of Spacehog, is booked as the opener at shows scheduled between October 16th and November 20th.
