The night bends and warps, stretching like static between frequencies. You move through it, tethered to the throb of basslines and the whisper of something wild, something unraveling. Neon flickers at the edge of your sight; voices—your own, someone else’s—murmur that none of it matters, that the rhythm will take care of you. The night disagrees. Echoes coil and collapse in your mind, reshaping themselves.
Camy Huot stands at the crossroads of the underground, a French performance artist, music producer, and DJ spinning sonic detonations from her current home base in Utrecht, The Netherlands. A conjurer of raw rhythm and razor-edged rituals, she scores nights for those who dance at the edge of the abyss. With Echoes In My Room, she pulls the world inward—beats cracked like glass underfoot, melodies scorched like cigarette burns on a plastic paradise. Slip inside the static; let the echoes swallow you whole.
The title track writhes in a fog of flickering memories and fractured time. A fevered sound collage of rhythm and reverberation, it drags you through the dazed delirium of a night that refuses to die. The bass still rattles in your ribs, the neon still flares behind closed eyes, but reason evaporated long ago. Here, within the echo, the night never ends, and the rhythm writes its own rules.
“It’s about coming back home when everything is still booming in your ears,” Huot explains. “And all that happened flashes like echoes. It is an ode to the mistakes we made at night”.
Echoes in My Room marks her first EP release, showcasing her growth as a producer of exciting, evocative electronic music. The EP will be released in Spring 2025 on single-sided DIY stamped white label 12” vinyl by Wave Tension Records.
