The Legendary Pink Dots to Celebrate 40th Anniversary with New Album and Tour

Psychedelic Post-Punk psych luminaries The Legendary Pink Dots are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year with a new album, and tour. The new record, Angel In The Detail, the band’s 43rd studio album, is due out August 23rd.

No clips have been premiered yet from the new LP’s ten new tracks, but that’s the cover art above and the tracklist is below.

Even though the band’s 40th anniversary proper is not until August 2020, singer/songwriter Edward Ka-Spel, the silver man Phil Knight on synths, along with the rest of the current LPD lineup, are set to embark their North American tour in support of the band’s ruby celebration, starting October 2nd in Kansas City, Missouri, and closing with a Halloween show in Denver, Colorado.

The Angel In The Detail follows 2017’s LP Pages of Aquarius, as well as Edward Ka-Spell and Amanda Palmer’s collaborative album I Can Spin A Rainbow.
