[dropcap]In[/dropcap] Deep is the first video from The KVB’s upcoming new album, Of Desire, and was filmed during the frore and chilled glow beneath the darkened skies of January in Berlin. The song takes the band in a different direction slightly,
“It’s about longing – we wanted to make intimate images with a cold tone which rolled with the tune,” says video director John Minton.
Of Desire is taking in influences from bands such Death In Vegas, Scott Walker as well as Roxy Music to create a sound that is inventive, but also familiar at the same time. Nick noted that many of the songs date back to their earliest bedroom recordings, including In Deep.
One thing you will notice is that Nick’s voice is way more present on this record, capturing a more intimate and more personal note, with a sound that matches artists like The Jesus and Mary Chain at their best.
