German Shoegaze and Post-Punk act The Dead Sound—featuring members of LOVE A and FREIBURG—have unleashed another video from their forthcoming debut album Cuts, which is due out July 18th through Crazysane Records.
The latest track, “Do you fear”, features marching drums care of Lars Bormann’s perfect timing, along with Dominik Mercier’s driving bassline—and pulsing guitar riffs courtesy of singer Karl Brausch, all together echoing some of the best compositions by A Place To Bury Strangers, and The Soft Moon, yet ultimately giving way to their own cavernous descent into distorted darkness.
The band explains:
“Do you fear?“ revolves around the feeling of being caught in circumstances beyond your control that make you a part of the problem rather than a part of the solution. It’s about being lied to and lying to yourself to get along, knowing that this house of lies could collapse any moment.”
