The Cure to Livestream “Disintegration” Concert May 30th

In celebration of their much beloved eighth studio album Disintegration, The Cure have announced that they have added a fifth and final concert to the album’s 30th-anniversary shows at the end of the month in Sydney, Australia.

Not only that, but Robert Smith has revealed that this performance will be live streamed free for all Cure fans worldwide to see for all to see.

The concert will take place on May 30th, with the stream set to begin at 8 p.m. Sydney time,  which is 3 a.m. in Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles) and 6 a.m. EST (New York City).

For those who don’t keep the same odd hours as Robert Smith, the event organizers have promised that “the performance will be available on-demand from Sydney Opera House’s YouTube channel and Facebook page for a period of time after May 30th.”

During the concerts, The Cure is set to play Disintegration in its entirety plus “a selection of rarely performed B-sides plus specially curated deep catalogue cuts.”

This will be the first time that The Cure have played Disintegration in its entirety since 2002’s Trilogy concerts in Berlin.

Meanwhile, Robert Smith has promised that more Disintegration anniversary concerts are “inevitable”, and that the band currently has venues on hold for future announcements.
