The Cure, Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, Queens of the Stoneage and More to Headline Riot Fest

Already sweeping through North America on an extensive tour, The Cure are showing no signs of slowing down. In a much-anticipated return since their 2014 appearance at Riot Fest’s Denver installment, the iconic band, led by the magnetic Robert Smith, is set to electrify the 2023 Riot Fest in Chicago this coming September.

Joining them in the dazzling spotlight are Foo Fighters, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and Queens of the Stone Age, forming a formidable ensemble of leading acts for the music festival.

Riot Fest has today revealed a thrilling roster of 95 diverse acts, offering an incredible spectrum of talent and musical variety. Among those poised to take the stage alongside the headliners are Turnstile, AFI, Mars Volta, Insane Clown Posse, Ride, and Mr. Bungle. Additionally, a range of highly esteemed artists such as The Breeders, Kim Gordon, Ani DiFranco, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Exploited, and The Dresden Dolls are confirmed to grace the festival, adding to the wildly eclectic mix of styles and voices.

Dating back to its inception in 2005, Riot Fest was initially a Chicago-based music event. However, it wasn’t until 2012 that it morphed into the multi-day outdoor extravaganza that it’s known as today. This transformation has made Riot Fest a pivotal platform for monumental band reunions, including punk rock legends Naked Raygun, The Misfits, and most notably, The Replacements.

Tickets — $269.98 for three-day passes — for the Sept. 15-17 festival at Chicago’s Douglass Park went on sale as the lineup was announced at 10 a.m. CDT today; Visit riotfest.org for more information and to reserve your spots. And remember, Goonies never say die, so don’t miss Corey Feldman!
