The Cure have unveiled an even more extensive 2026 schedule today, announcing a string of major UK and Ireland headline shows to accompany their rapidly growing European festival circuit. The new run includes stops at Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 26, Belfast’s Belsonic on June 28, Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on August 21, and Edinburgh Summer Sessions at the Royal Highland Showgrounds on August 23.
These newly announced headline shows join a packed festival calendar that already includes Primavera Sound in Barcelona (June 3–7), Nova Rock in Austria (June 11–14), Isle of Wight (June 18–21), and Rock en Seine in Paris (August 26–30). With these dates, The Cure are now poised to make 2026 their most ambitious European summer since their Songs of a Lost World tour of 2022–2023, which followed on from their pre-pandemic festival sweep of 2019.
The openers for these headline shows highlight both The Cure’s deep friendships within the alternative scene and their eye for rising talent. Just Mustard are slated for Dublin, Belfast, and Manchester, bringing their experimental blend of dreampop, post-punk, and shoegaze to three of the four dates. Mogwai join the bill in Belfast, adding their cinematic post-rock heft. In Manchester, frequent Cure companions The Twilight Sad return as support, a band Robert Smith has championed repeatedly over the years. Finally, shoegaze legends Slowdive will appear in Edinburgh, a fitting union given their status as longtime Cure fans. There is also further support from Stella and the Dreaming in Dublin, as well as The Slow Readers Club in Manchester, further underlining the breadth of curation behind the run.
The addition of standalone stadium and park shows across the UK and Ireland ensures fans will have ample opportunities to see the band outside of festival settings, with lineups carefully curated to reflect The Cure’s legacy within the alternative music scene.
