The Cure have officially announced the worldwide theatrical release of The Show of a Lost World, a fully recut, remixed, and 4K remastered concert film capturing the band’s 31-song performance at London’s Troxy on November 1st, 2024. Tickets for the limited cinematic run will go on sale on Thursday, November 20th, with screenings beginning on December 11th, 2025, across select cinemas worldwide.
The film documents the night of Songs of a Lost World’s release — performed live and in full for the first and only time before 3,000 fans. Directed by Grammy-nominated Nick Wickham, The Cure: The Show of a Lost World features a new surround sound mix by Robert Smith and was produced and mixed by Robert Smith & Paul Corkett. The performance features Robert Smith (voice/guitar/6-string bass), Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums/percussion), Roger O’Donnell (keyboard), Reeves Gabrels (guitar/6-string bass), and Perry Bamonte (guitar/6-string bass/keyboard).

Formed in 1978, The Cure have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, headlined Glastonbury four times, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. They remain one of the most influential and enduring British bands in modern music history.
In parallel with the film announcement, The Cure’s UK & European 2026 Tour continues to grow — now spanning 22 dates across the continent, including headline park shows and major festival appearances from Spain to Sweden. The itinerary includes three consecutive nights at Berlin’s Wuhlheide (July 10–12) and two UK events, already marked as sold out.
The band’s official biography also confirms that in March 2025, The Cure recorded 13 new songs at Rockfield Studios for a follow-up album, and that Robert Smith has been re-editing and re-mixing the concert film. Meanwhile, in June 2025, the 24-track Mixes of a Lost World was released, featuring remixes by Four Tet, Mogwai, Paul Oakenfold, Chino Moreno, and Orbital.
Support for the UK & Ireland headline dates includes longtime friends and collaborators: Mogwai (Edinburgh), Slowdive (Manchester & Edinburgh), The Twilight Sad (Dublin & Belfast), Just Mustard (Dublin, Belfast & Edinburgh), The Slow Readers Club (Manchester), Stella and the Dreaming (Dublin), and for the Wales date in Cardiff — The Twilight Sad and The Joy Formidable.
