The Cure’s Robert Smith has made good on his promise for further touring in support of the band’s 40th anniversary celebrations, with the announcement that the band is set to perform two dates in South Africa next March.
In the band’s first foray into playing that part of the world, The Cure will be headlining the Rock on the Lawns music festival next year.
The festival occurs on March 16th in Johannesburg and March 21st in Cape Town. Other live acts booked to perform include Fokofpolisiekar, Zebra & Giraffe, Karen Zoid, Ard Matthews, Opposite the Others, Hellcats and The Robfather. Tickets go on sale Friday.
