Andrea P. Latorre and Sergi Algiz, have shown their craft once again with their synth driven project SDH (Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms).
The duo released their self titled debut LP last year to much acclaim, with the singles “The Scent”, and “Tell Them”, with the former being one of the most romantic electronic music tracks released in 2018.
Now, ahead of their spring European tour, SDH are premiering the video for their third single from the LP, “I Mean”.
The sensual footage was shot at the Coagularium, stars Andrea P. Latorre, Pilar González Tartiere, Verushka Sirit, Sara López Busquets, and was directed and edited by Alejandra Núñez.
The video’s overall feel is saturated with lush spot colours—evoking a 60’s retro arthouse poetry vibe, that is part Kenneth Anger, and part Ingmar Bergman—perfectly accenting the whispered vocals and hypnotic synths.
What’s the shape of the neuter? What does it resemble? What’s its meaning? A human being enters the neuter like a body enters another body: meaninglessly, physically, with fear.
