Synth-pop saint Panic Priest has returned with the breathtakingly brilliant “Nighthunter”—the lead single from the forthcoming new album “Second Seduction” out this Spring through Negative Gain.
The highly danceable and cinematic track, bolstered by a perfect vocal croon, is certain to be an essential part of every darkwave playlist.
“Nighthunter” is a brooding and introspective exploration of Jack’s Armondo’s own real-life after-dark experiences, as he explains:
“Nighthunter is quite frankly about going out and looking to hookup in the wee hours of the night. There is a smoky, sexy atmosphere to the track…but with a slightly ominous undertone. As the song progresses, it becomes clear that the narrator may themselves be a victim of their own heartache and the actual prey of their own perceived hunt.“

“Nighthunter” was written and performed entirely by maestro Jack Armondo himself, with production and mixing provided by Brian Fox (Wingtips, Ganser).
Find the song on Panic Priest’s upcoming new album Second Seduction, which is out on Negative Gain May 1st.
