Synth-pop icons Pet Shop Boys have kept their momentum going with the release of “Feel,” their latest single, and video from their fifteenth studio album, “Nonetheless.”
Feel is a love song with layers, speaking to friends, lovers, family, and chosen kin alike. Neil Tennant tenderly croons this pledge of loyalty in his inimitable voice, wrapped in deep devotion and a strong emotional bond. It is a promise to wait, to never let the other down, highlighting the unique connection they share. The song carries a weight of commitment, a quiet understanding that some bonds are too strong to break, too precious to lose. It’s a reminder that in a world full of fleeting moments, some feelings are meant to last, no matter the distance or time.
The clip, directed by the sharp-eyed British artist Corbin Shaw and his collaborator Rawtape and starring Sam Bottomley and Tareq Al-Jeddal, takes us on a road trip down the UK’s highways. But don’t expect quaint Cotswold cottages, ancient ruins, or sheep-strewn country lanes. Instead, these modern gents are caught in the grip of modern monotony, passing signs with subliminal messages and the hulking horrors of technology—wind turbines, power lines, and sprawling factories that scar the landscape. In fact, it takes a moment to realize our two travelers aren’t cruising along Route 80 in the United States.
The car’s two occupants have a lot on their minds, yearning for a quiet moment by the sea. As the Golden Hour washes over them, they finally find a brief escape from the cold clutches of the present—a fleeting taste of freedom as the sun dips below the horizon, offering a glimpse of peace and the warm glow of love at the world’s edge, if only for a sunset.

Pet Shop Boys released their fifteenth album, Nonetheless, produced by James Ford, via Parlophone Records in April. The duo’s highest-charting studio album since 1993 includes the singles Loneliness, Dancing Star, and A New Bohemia.
The new single is available now as a five-track digital bundle. It includes the radio edit of Feel, a previously unreleased song, Everybody Will Dance, and a German demo version of Chris Lowe’s sung version of The Schlager hit Parade from Nonetheless. Other bonus tracks include the Floorplan remix of Loneliness, and a Superchumbo remix of Everybody Will Dance.

In July, they concluded the latest UK and European dates of their acclaimed Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live tour with a sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House. Pet Shop Boys will headline this year’s BBC Radio 2 in the Park on September 8, where the duo will perform a Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live production, featuring classic hits and also recent singles.
