Sweden’s post-punk darlings Pink Milk unfurls a new single: a “ballad, but in a shoegaze/postpunk style” entitled Blue Eyes (River of Glass). The ethereal, gentle song plods along slowly, a delicious combination of a David Lynch dreamscape and a pleasant dream while nodding off on a hot summer evening.
The story involves a heartbroken vampire channels its voice in the new haunting reverb-drenched 80’s-inspired single from the Swedish darkwave duo. With a nod to classic Hanna-Barbera-style cartoons, the band created a wonderful illustrated animation of partying ghouls for the accompanying video.
Pink Milk, who recently played Iceland Airwaves, JaJaJa (London), and the Reeperbahn Festival, have previously been supported by CLASH, DIY, WONDERLAND, TLOBF, GAFFA, and was nominated for a Swedish Radio P3 Gold Award. Previous singles received airplay on Kerrang!, BBC6, Virgin Radio and Swedish national radio.
