I keep on slipping and come apart
I’m running out of time
Inadequate is how I feel again
Love, that cunning trickster, blinds with its brilliance, drowns out the warning, hushes the whispers of reason. You see the signs painted in bold red, yet call them roses. You hear the thunder, yet mistake it for music. You walk a path paved in empty promises, your own heart the willing accomplice. And when the veil lifts, when the spell shatters, you’re left wandering, lost in the wreckage. But somewhere in the distance, beyond the ruin, a way forward waits.
HALLOWS, the Los Angeles-based duo of Vanee Dusoruth and Dom Rolando, conjures a fevered ache with the bittersweet Find A Way, a desperate grasp at love in its most all-consuming form. Love here is no gentle embrace; it is a relentless force, an obsession masquerading as salvation. The song’s protagonist stumbles through loss, clawing at the past, convinced they must push forward no matter the cost. Logic dissolves, caution withers, and the heart, ever stubborn, seeks what it should flee. A tempest of longing and unrelenting pursuit, Find A Way surges forward with melodic synth strings tangled in thick, driving basslines. It borrows from the brooding depths of darkwave yet pulses with a modern, urgent energy…an anthem for those teetering between devotion and destruction. Find A Way pleas and demands: a hypnotic spell urging the listener to step inside, to surrender, to chase the unattainable, even when the road leads nowhere.
Alissa Wyle directs Find A Way with a keen eye for contrast; a restless ballet of identity played out in golden lit streets and the glow of the stage. The clip shifts between the ordinary and the theatrical, a figure lost in the city’s hum before shedding restraint in the flood of stage lights. The everyday self, subdued and searching, collides with the performer, uninhibited and raw. A dance of duality unfolds—anonymity battles expression, longing fights release…each step a silent plea to reconcile the two before the curtain falls.

Find A Way marks the band’s inaugural collaboration with Los Angeles producer Matia Simovich, a man whose electronic pedigree speaks for itself. For the remix, Simovich, under his INHALT moniker, reimagines Find A Way as a relentless, sweat-slicked dancefloor juggernaut, sharpening its edges and drenching it in precision-tooled synth menace. The band calls it an effortless fit: Simovich fuses their moody songwriting with his heavyweight production, stretching its intensity to the brink. The result? A track impossible to ignore, let alone sit still to.
“Working with Matia is definitely a privilege,” says the band. “He has worked with some true heavy hitters and has produced some of the most highly regarded records in the scene. Find A Way is the very first track we worked on together and it instantly clicked. We are very happy with how he combined our songwriting approach to a wide range of synthesis to really push the track’s sonic power. You really can’t help dancing or at least tapping your toes!”
In 2025, HALLOWS is gearing up to release they’re third full-length record. Listen to Find A Way below and order the song here.
