Italian post-punk heroes Soviet Soviet have premiered another video from 2016’s fantastic LP Endless.
This time it is for the album’s opening track “Fairy Tale,” which sets the tone for the record with kinetic bass lines, augmented by a melange of masterfully melodic guitars.
The video for “Fairy Tale” is expertly shot, directed, and lit by director Simone Pellegrini, with additional contributions by director of photography Anton Smári Gunnarsson and editor Eleonora Cristin. Boy (Freddy Parkington) meets girl (Emma Farnell-Watson) at a surreal birthday party where they are the only attendees.
It turns out that the girl happens to be a universe in herself, (obviously), and then boy gets trapped in a bubble—which would perhaps be a happy ending, but nothing actually ends now does it?

Endless was released on December 2nd 2016 via Felte.
