[dropcap]One[/dropcap] of the best post-punk records of 2016 was certainly Soft Kill’s Choke—an immense wall of fervent melancholia that captures the listener within an aural fugue. The video for the track number 6 on the record, Lost, echoes this assessment of the music by displaying a phantasmagorical apparition not unlike the crying white nun from a television show whose name is given new irony in relation to current political events.
Indeed—with all the deaths of our heroes and the powerful ascension of our enemies, one can’t help but feel…lost.
