[dropcap]Following[/dropcap] the premiere of No Passage. our pick of Track of the Month for July, Minimal Industrial EBM duo Pure Ground have dropped another amazing track off their upcoming album Giftgarten (out on September 1st). The track opens with a Carpenter bass that proceeds into a slow and pulsing cinematically minimal beat that sounds almost like what Front 242 were doing with the Endless Riddance EP, but with the late 80’s style vocal angst that stands toe to toe with all the EBM greats.
A Flood indeed, of dread and adrenaline—while counting the seconds between thunder breaks. Listen below:
Giftgarten is out on September 1st on LP on Avant! Records (Europe), Chondritic Sounds (US) and on CD on Sleepless Berlin. The release of the new album will coincide with their 3rd European Tour—see the dates below.
