Philadelphia-based synth artist Plastic Ivy has just premiered the video for “Anaphora,” the second single from 2018’s The Glass Horizon cassette. The track is a glimmering piece of synth pop, peppered with jangly guitars that recall UK band Modern Art as well as the Scottish-bred Factory Records iteration of The Wake. Watch below:
The video, directed by Daniel James Shields, depicts Plastic Ivy (aka Lira Marie Landes) gently singing the track amongst kaleidoscopic shades of purple and blue, recalling the surreal textures and moody atmosphere of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet.
Plastic Ivy will also be embarking upon a North American tour supporting Xeno and Oaklander, who are touring behind their most recent release Hypnos. For a full list of tour dates, check below:
