Lust is a tempest, untamed and unrelenting, surging through the senses with a force that leaves reason adrift. It is the fevered brush of skin, the intoxicating pull of desire, where each glance electrifies and every thought becomes a jolt. The body thrums with adrenaline, its pounding rhythm drowning logic beneath its tides. The craving builds, insatiable, as the line between passion and possession dissolves, dragging you further into its storm. It is an addiction of the flesh, a hunger that feeds on itself, growing wilder with each indulgence, leaving behind a trembling ache and an unquenchable thirst for more.
Philadelphia’s Wax Jaw has bottled up that lightning and unleashed a new video for Night Sweats.
Fronted by the magnetic Shane Morgan, Wax Jaw sprang to life from the hazy heat of summer daydreams and the crackling camaraderie of Greg Blanc on bass and Sean Vannata on guitar. United by a shared vision, they set out to create songs that jolt and jive, brimming with electric energy and designed to leave crowds buzzing long after the amps go silent. Their journey so far has seen them storm stages alongside psych-rock firebrands Wine Lips, brit-punk legends Bad Nerves, and the effervescent indie force of Shannon and the Clams. For those who thrive on the untamed grit of Amyl & The Sniffers, the sharp swagger of The Hives, or the explosive charisma of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Surfbort, Wax Jaw’s sound delivers a brash and unrelenting rush. Their music feels like a joyride on a sunlit highway, wild, reckless, and utterly thrilling.
“I wanted to capture the frenzied mania and adrenaline of intensely lusting for someone,” says the band. “The song is about feeling addicted to another person, like you need to be near them as soon as they’ve left, because you just can’t get enough.”
Daniel Rosendale of Ask About My Films delivers a feverish fright in the video for Night Sweats, a manic mix of Blair Witch paranoia and midnight mischief. Shot through the unsettling lens of infrared cameras, it prowls the halls of a sprawling, creaking house where every closet door holds a secret and every corner feels alive with whispers. The restless spirits seem less spectral and more personal, their energy humming with unresolved tension. The video’s relentless pacing and eerie imagery leave you tangled in its web of playful dread.
