On August 13th, following being rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack, Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy canceled the remaining 4 dates of his 12-show resident this August at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge.
After 10 days in the hospital, it was announced that Murphy would be making a “full recovery”, during which the singer thanked his bandmates in Bauhaus, which hinted at the recently announced reunion show in Los Angeles November 3rd, which sees all four members of the band reunited on stage for the first time in 13 years.
It is, however, unlikely with Murphy’s health, and the desire of the rest of Bauhaus, (save perhaps stalwart David J) that there will be an extensive reunion tour, save for the possibility appearances in major cities.
Supporting this idea is the announcement of the rescheduled Peter Murphy shows in NYC this January, which includes a Mr. Moonlight Bauhaus set on January 21st.
The rest of the rescheduled dates are the “Greatest Hits” set, which is now scheduled for January 20th, and the two Bowie tribute nights, which are on January 23rd, and 24th.
Tickets to all four shows are available here. Previously purchased tickets will be honored and refunds are available at point of purchase.
