Toronto’s underground electronic music heroes Odonis Odonis have returned to showcase haunting minimalism in their video for Check My Profile. The the pulsing rhythm is concentrated aural sexuality that bores into deep the limbic system—causing you to want to place your tongue firmly in someone’s cheek—as would follow from the track’s post-modernist and meta title.
Check my profile is featured on Odonis Odonis’ upcoming new album No Pop, which continues to shed layers of sound into a harsh minimalism of drums, synths, and screams that capture the same brilliance found when musicians first sequenced analog gear back in the 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s that paved the way for Industrial, Noise and Techno.
No Pop is due out October 20th on felte
