Odonis Odonis Return with Scathing New Single “Insect”

Felte stalwarts Odonis Odonis have returned with a new track, titled “Insect.” We’re honored to premiere the single, the second plucked from their upcoming EP Reaction, due out on April 12th. Listen below:

The band have been performing “Insect” over the course of the last year, honing in on the track’s sleazy, groove-driven nature. As always, Odonis Odonis strike the perfect balance between moody psychedelia and heavy blasts of industrial noise, and “Insect” channels both the avant-ghetto grooves of mid-era Cabaret Voltaire and the sheer terror of Liars’ best material over the course of three intensely captivating minutes. “Insect” has been a live favorite for some time now, with fans across the board clamoring for its release.

Reaction was both written and recorded while touring to support their last record No Pop, each song gestating while on the road. Each of the EP’s four tracks were tested on stage, often recorded as first takes, and subsequently mixed, produced, and mastered by the band themselves. As such, the track and the EP at large perfectly cements Odonis Odonis as a formidable presence, tapping directly into their powerful live show and capturing the trio in their prime.

With that in mind, Odonis Odonis will be touring this spring, hitting select North American cities. The band will be joined on several dates by fellow Felte label mates Public Memory, touring behind 2018’s Demolition. Check below for the full tour schedule, as well as the artwork and track details for Reaction.
