NYC Artist Suzy Clue Makes Her Debut With Melancholic Single “Remember Me”

Do you remember me?
Are you fond of me still?
Are my pictures on your phone?
Are our memories
clouded by your weakness?
Do you still suffer on your own?

NYC vocalist and lyricist Suzy Clue introduces her inaugural single, “Remember Me.” Collaborating with notable associates from both New York and London, she teamed up with Speedy Underground’s Dan Carey, known for his work with Fontaines D.C., Kae Tempest, and Wet Leg, as well as the adept producer/engineer Attila Lee Anrather, linked with Clovis and Quarters of Change. The new song is currently available digitally via Sparta, an initiative by 300 Entertainment.

Remember Me” explores themes of heartbreak, loss, and the clash of melancholy and guttural rage of being left behind by the one you love through the sounds of heavy shoegaze, emo, indie, and alternative rock,” says Clue.

The lyrics to Remember Me convey the pain of a past relationship, with the singer reflecting on moments shared and questioning the genuineness of the former partner’s love. The repetitive questioning of whether they are “enough” and assertions about the partner’s repeated behavior hint at a cycle of pain and perceived betrayal.

Hailing from Albania and transitioning to the NYC milieu at the age of 8, Suzy Clue immersed herself deeply into the South London musical fabric, collaborating with the likes of Pretty Sick, Double Virgo, Viji, and Mitsubishi Suicide. After a riveting act in London, where she opened for Pretty Sick at The Lafayette, Suzy returned to New York, promptly delivering another lauded performance before Porches at Baby’s All Right. This October, she will celebrate her single’s release with a New York show, with an anticipated EP to follow soon after.

Show dates:

  • October 25th – Single Release Show (with support from Comet, Taraneh, and Pretty Sick) @ Baker Falls NYC
  • October 28th – opening for Pretty Sick @ The Hancock NYC
