[dropcap]As[/dropcap] previously reported, It has been 3 years since 2013’s Push The Sky Away, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will be releasing their next album SKELETON TREE on September 9th, alongside a new theatrical work ONE MORE TIME WITH FEELING which is scheduled for debut on September 8—premiering the new music before it’s official release at midnight.
The film uses a combination of color, black and white and 3D and will showcase the record’s intimacy, as evident in the trailer above.
“Most of us don’t want to change…really, I mean why should we? What we do want is sorta modifications on the original model. We keep on being ourselves, but hopefully better versions of ourselves…
What happens when an event occurs that is so catastrophic…that you just change?”
The band will not be releasing any music or singles before the theatrical debut to ensure that the film is “the first medium through which anyone anywhere will be able to hear & experience the songs”.
“The record has an intimacy and starkness that the film’s photographic style will reflect.”
