[dropcap]After[/dropcap] performing a phenomenal show at Radio City Music Hall, New Order took to performing on Late Night with Stephen Colbert during the North American leg of their Music Complete tour. The Manchester band performed their Berlin themed track Singularity, which reminisces upon the band’s history. Fitting, as New Order’s 5th and 6th gigs ever were in New York (At Hurrah’s and Tier 3).
This is also not the first time Colbert has hosted a Manchester Post-Punk Legend, as Morrissey appeared on The Colbert Report on Oct 9th, 2012, and appearence that prompted the tempestuous singer to fire his publicist, after being teased about his zealous animal rights activism.
The next band we hope to see on the show would be the Mancunian cult act The Stone Roses, who recently announced their first new album in 22 years and would be a Manchester trifecta for Colbert’s late night television hosting.
