The release of Interpol‘s fifth studio album, ElPintor is nigh with just 2 months to go. The new songs “Anywhere” and “My Desire,” have made their rounds via live videos, with “Anywhere” having a professionally shot version. Now we finally get something to sink our animal incisors into regardng this curious anagram of an album, with a promo video debut for ‘All The Rage Back Home’. This is a song that paints the not so vulgar picture that the boys are finally back to form since the departure of Carlos D.
Directed by singer Paul Banks, the video for ElPintor’s first single is both stylish and classy which fits for such a strikingly powerful tune, plus it intermixes a stark black and white performance with images of surfers-a theme which fits the overall 60’s pop feel to the track.
Here is a live performance from back in March:
Apparently, there is another also another new song “Nothing but Hope and Passion” that was spotted on the setlist July 3rd at the Täubchenthal in Leipzig.
