Favi Alba and Lenny Bryan, aka She Comes In Colors, announce their first single, “Vampire.” The duo began writing and recording together in Nashville in 2021. Favi’s punk roots vocals and Lenny’s electronic arrangements seamlessly combine into punk-electro songs.
Using clips from various neck biter flicks to illustrate the track with a lyric video, which has shades of mid-90s Britpop in the vein of Portishead and alternative pop in the vein of Luscious Jackson, the sultry track is from the point of view of someone who just can’t quit the one who jilted them, yet admonishes them for their cruelty. The vicious cycle continues, for better or worse…probably worse, but that’s the sweet allure of a toxic dynamic, isn’t it?
