[dropcap]Some[/dropcap] bands still evolve and mutate into darker organisms from their inception—and such is the case of Athens, Ga band Muuy Biien. Their prior album D.Y.I. via the single of the same name had a sound not unlike UK Batcave Punk heroes Ausgang. However, the current release Age of Uncertainty from Joshua Evans’ musical project is more subdued—settling into a sound somewhere between The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds.
The video for the albums’s opener Moral Compass is a sleazy church procession directed by Benjamin Roberds—shot from from the perspective of a would-be bridegroom—with Evans dressed as the bride while donning macabre makeup under his veil
