[dropcap]MOTH[/dropcap], are one of my personal favorites on Mass Media records. They are a fantastic 4-piece synth/post-punk band from Copenhagen, Denmark (Sidenote: It’s eerie how many great Danish Post-Punk bands there are!)
You can stream their recent release of singles and demos above, which was released on May 11th, 2015.
There is a video for a song off of the Luminol 7-inch included in this collection called “Taste The Remains” (the other track, “Synthetic Hands” is included too), which is a somber and CUREious dirge that could have come out as early as 1980/1981 along with The Cure’s 17 Seconds or Faith, and the Bunnymen’s Heaven Up Here.
Other standout tracks include the precipitous percussion and icy synth of “Frozen Tears”, and the kinetic desperation of “Echoes”.
