Morrissey Wears Far-Right “For Britain” Political Party Pin on Last Night’s “Fallon”

Last night, recently maligned Mancunian singer Morrissey made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” during which he donned on his lapel a pin showing his support For Britain Movement, a far-right UK political party founded by anti-Islam activist Anne Marie Waters.

At first, it was unclear if the pitchforked logo was that of For Britain when Morrissey was caught wearing the same badge during his Broadway residency, which saw his first-ever performance of the ballad “I Won’t Share You,” off The Smiths’ 1987 post-humorous record Strangeways, Here We Come.

However, For Britain has verified that Morrissey wore the badge in his ongoing support of the organization, and displayed even more instances of the former Smiths singer wearing that particular variant of their badge on their website.

The organization has stated:

“Morrissey is known for his fantastic music, but also for his politics. He unashamedly stands up for Britain, our culture and heritage, and our working people – the backbone of our nation.

Previously, during an interview from 2018, Morrissey declared his support of For Britain by stating:

“I have been following a new party called For Britain which is led by Anne Marie Waters. It is the first time in my life that I will vote for a political party. Finally, I have hope. I find the Tory-Labour-Tory-Labour constant switching to be pointless. For Britain has received no media support and have even been dismissed with the usual childish ‘racist’ accusation. I don’t think the word ‘racist’ has any meaning anymore, other than to say ‘you don’t agree with me, so you’re a racist.’ People can be utterly, utterly stupid.”
