Morrissey has unveiled today his Sophie Muller directed video for ‘Spent The Day In Bed’—his first single off of his 11th studio album Low In High School.
The video highlights Morrissey’s noted fandom for football by including midfielder Joey Barton—who pushes Morrissey into the 142 year-old Peckham Liberal Club via wheelchair.
Barton had previously shared a picture via instagram of he and Morrissey having a conversation at the club during the filming of the video:
Additionally, in promotion of Low In High School, Morrissey has sanctioned 2 special pop-up shops in London and Los Angeles to celebrate the album’s release—promising ‘exclusive media and merchandise’.
This is not the first time Morrissey has done such a promotion, as last year the Mancunian singer opened the Pop Up MPORIUM Store at the Salford Lads Club, as well as one at Sugar Mutts Rescue in Brooklyn.
