It looks like Morrissey will be embarking on another US tour this fall—maybe. According to fansite Morrissey-Solo, dates have been appearing in the official Spotify app for October and November. This follows Morrissey’s attempt to perform stateside earlier this year to makeup for shows cancelled in 2016—with some of those dates sadly being canceled as well.
The cities listed via Spotify include San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Columbus—with the possibility of more cities to be included in the official tour announcement. One possible date is a rumoured Hollywood Bowl gig in Los Angeles.
10/03 Boston, MA @ Orpheum Theatre
10/09 Philadelphia, PA @ The Fillmore
10/17 Columbus, OH @ Palace Theatre
11/01 Seattle, WA @ Paramount Theatre
11/03 San Francisco, CA @ The Masonic
11/04 San Francisco, CA @ The Masonic
Morrissey has not released any new solo material since 2014’s ill-fated World Peace Is None Of Your Business, but has been very active in reissuing campaigns for his former band The Smiths. Following two single reissues, and a super deluxe edition of The Queen Is Dead being announced, it is possible that we will see a 30th anniversary edition of The Smiths final album Strangeways, Here We Come being announced just prior to this tour—with the anniversary falling on September 28th.
Meanwhile, Morrissey fans stateside can check showtimes for the Morrissey Biopic England Is Mine, which is due out in cinemas stateside August 24th.
