Morrissey has made his 4th cancellation in his itinerary of gigs in support of his 11th studio album Low In High School.
In an announcement that hardly comes as a surprise, Morrissey has canceled his headlining appearance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles on Sunday December 10th. The legendary radio station made the announcement the evening of December 9th. The tweet reiterated the previous reason cited, stating that the cancellation is “due to illness,” without specifying who—which was the case as well for the recent cancellations in Boston and Philadelphia.
KROQ’s Sunday night lineup is also scheduled to feature performances by The Killers, Weezer, The Lumineers, Phoenix, Franz Ferdinand, with no replacement for the former Smith’s singer’s slot during the festivities.
“Morrissey’s team and KROQ apologize greatly for this disappointment and Morrissey looks forward to making it up to the Los Angeles fans as soon as possible.”
