[dropcap]Montreal’s[/dropcap] Xarah Dion brings minimal wave to a maximal level with her new single Cap Tourmente. The song is inspired by the first attack against civil aviation in North America which happened over Cap Tourmente, Quebec. The Jessica Reina Rainville produced video weaves in and out of a strobing nature morte. Invoking a passionate crime, the psychedelic tale, shot on site, is reminiscent of an eerie Norwegian Black Metal vacation.
Inviting the listener into her intricate yet smooth sound, Dion’s voice effortlessly flows into dense layers of analog sequences, ebbing string organ and marked drum machines.
After her first album Le Mal Nécessaire (2014) which brought Dion to tour thrice in Europe, Cap Tourmente announces her second self-produced LP FUGITIVE to be released via Visage Musique on September 30th. It will be followed by an extensive European tour.
