Lunacy (a.k.a. Nick Kulp) is quickly following up on last year’s debut album, The Age of Truth with a four-track E.P. entitled, The Search For Fallen Field coming out April, 24th on limited edition cassette from Somatic Records, and an even more limited lathe cut 10″ record from Cold Moon Records. “Clarity (of Subconscious)” is the lead video and it takes us on a slow, mystical trip through time guided by the rhythmic out of body pulses and drones swirling throughout. The flashing imagery and analog effects bring additional breadth to the soundtrack.
Since 2016, Philadelphia’s Lunacy has been making compelling dark electronic music that is just shy of isolationist but makes you feel that chill. You can also check out the track, “Past-Present-Future” from the new E.P. on their Bandcamp to get an even greater feel for where they want to take you. It may put you slightly on edge, but what doesn’t these days.
