Lucy Kruger & the Lost Boys Return with Their Smoldering Video for “Burning Building”

Would she stay if she could see

What’s in the centre fold out sheet

Her life-sized lover on heat

Locked inside of a pent up suite

Hey girl, let’s go! Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys return with a flamethrower: their fiery new single, “Burning Building.” The Berlin-based outfit, fronted by South African-born artist Lucy Kruger, channels the raw, untamed energy of PJ Harvey, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Delta 5, and Garbage, chanting through the apocalyptic visions of this alarming anthem.

“Burning Building” strips bare the rawest underbelly of the human experience, in all its passionate, gory magnificence, and serves up these feelings on a weather-beaten platter of disarrayed vocals and disembodied passion. This track adroitly navigates between capriciousness and raw admissions, stirring up a cathartic tempest through resonant power chords. Here, the voice extends beyond just the configuration of words. It morphs into a primordial, other-dimensional instrument, a channel for untamed, unapologetic expression.

Metropolis Records recently introduced the world to “Heaving“a vibrant, guttural journey, delivering an expansive dive into the universe of sonic narratives.

In a recent interview, Lucy shared, “My artistic contribution is a meticulous articulation of my personal experiences. While the circumstances might seem peculiar to me, the emotions are shared universally. By giving these feelings form and sound, they become validated, carving out space for listeners to connect, regardless of distance. Even within the confines of their own bedrooms. Or perhaps, specifically within those solitary spaces.”

“Heaving” is available in a limited edition vinyl and compact disc format, besides making it accessible across all major digital and streaming platforms. Order Here
